I use Acuity on my PVE NB, and the uptime is 25%. But I'm saying even then, I wouldn't choose Shadow. Stamina is ok but weapon damage is a downside of MA. With this set and Bloodthorn you're able to crit despite no LA passive and no set-bonuses on crit what is a advantage for a HA build IMO. I would only think about shadow mundus in combination with mechanical acuity. Oooo and I recommend sticking with spell damage (buffs damage and healing) or penetration mundus over Shadow^ No idea what Juli/Bloodthorn would look like tho. It's immune to meta shifts and you'll do really solid consistent damage with it. If you don't want to worry about meta changes, I'd base it around 5 Julianos. I've been playing a 5 heavy mNB since forever. I may try heavy out some point soon though, I have most the stuff for that setup readilly available I think. The mitigation and healing from heavy is far outweighed by the pen from light imo. Wizards and harness makes you plenty tanky, even more so if you want s&b. Honestly though, I don't think you need heavy on mageblade. With leeching strikes and those sets you'd have enough Stam sustain to go witch mother's and heavy would give you the health. Yes, it's cheese, but it'd help with healing under pressure. In group play maybe not as important though.Īs for now, if I were to play one, with destro and not resto - I'd use bloodthorn, shackle and maybe earthgore. I did use resto though as I was running solo. I'd have cripple and path ticking away while I whittled them down with swallow soul then as nerieneth would proc I'd soul tether and impale. Nerieneth worked, as people would be beating on me for a while, which means they pay little attention to there health. I used to run kagernags and nerieneth on it as well. Even defensively, just throw a light attack between skills and it procs. I used to run it way back when one tamriel dropped and I can't believe how long it took people to realise just how good the set it. I haven't use a heavy armor mageblade in pvp forever, but I can attest to bloodthorn being outstanding on a s&b nb. I didn't want to implement that I would have a problem with farming, only I'm in no hurry and it could take some time. I’ve been playing with the transmutation version since like before homestead, and the riposte version since morrowind.īut if you don’t want to run resto at all then I don’t really know what to say hahahaha, in all these years of playing magblade I’ve never actually ran it without a resto except for my dw/destro bomb build last patch. You can craft/buy 2/3 of the build and it’s one of the strongest and most lasting builds for magblade. If the gear farm is a problem then I strongly recommend skoria + julianos + riposte/transmutation destro/resto. BTW i'm also PC EU, DC.īiS isn't really important for me cause i still have to farm some pieces, became young daddy, busy at job and meta changes every few months Most time i got other MagNBs like you or Templars in my party for additional support. Also IMO restro isn't necessary for a non-solo build and it's so boring. My thought was to get damage from heavy/light attack flame or shock glyph with infused and torug's inspired by I do strongly believe that light is BiS for open world atm though, especially if you don’t run a 2h momentum build. Lingering pots or Tristat depending on if you’re pressured on stam or raw damage. Most of the time when I play heavy nowadays I run with alchemist/maiden/skoria destro/resto, 5/1/1 with infused backbar and destro front. Note: English isn't my native language, sorry for possible wrong spelling. Please leave your suggestions and ideas especially for equipment! One possible example for breach fight, range funnel weaving while merciless resolve, engage with inferno ult and deto, swap to s&b, Sap essence LA weave someone faces, block if health drops to fast, try to kill focus target with spectral bow and skoria proc, disengage if is stamina low. Other skills depends on my buddies and open field or choke point situations. Range-bar for suspression with funnel, spectral bow and inferno knockback, melee-bar for just being beefier as most blades and trolling with reflect sniper's and meteor thrower's. I don't like the main-bar/off-bar playstyle so the requirement for this build is playing both bars actively. Maybe Inferno fire glyph and sword magic damage glyph? I don't know well about weapon enchants meta right now. Torug's Pact or Mechanical Acuity? (5 Pieces Armor)īig pieces infused and tri-stat, small one's inpen and magicka glyphs. Personally I like the regen proc mechanics more than flat recovery and please note that this isn't a solo build. Played BombBlade and Support a lot and now I want to give another playstyle a chance.
